 Meet the Torrey Pines Team

At Torrey Pines Marketing, we pride ourselves on many things – tireless work
ethic and unique creativity are just two – but we take distinctive delight when clients
tell us they feel as if we are employees of their company.  We throw ourselves into
our clients’ goals and projects, becoming integral part of our clients’ team.


Troy Morrison founded Torrey Pines Marketing in 2012. From record-setting sales data to client testimonials, Troy’s accomplishments in sponsorship leverage, event management and creative development have been recognized throughout the United States. Troy received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 and currently resides in San Diego, CA with his wife and daughter.

Shaun Copans’ experience includes more than 18 years in marketing, promotions, community and public relations and event management. Shaun organized events for a nonprofit community organization, including executing “America’s Largest Balloon Parade”. He also managed the community relations program for one of the largest Credit Unions in the country. Shaun received a B.A. in English from the University of Iowa and resides in San Diego, CA with his wife and two daughters.

Transforming the way businesses communicate with strategic messaging, Leah offers clients a way to engage with their audience in a way that is both thoughtful and effective. She possesses a unique understanding of how to craft content that is both compelling and educational. Leah has successfully applied her journalism degree and communication skills to many industries, including technology, healthcare, and education. Leah resides in San Diego with her husband and two children.

Marketing Strategist Rebecca Tall Brown dove headfirst into marketing when she first saw how much opportunity businesses gain when they're paired with the right marketing approach. Seeing marketing help business owners scale mountains and improve the world is what Rebecca loves more than anything else. Armed with over two decades of strategy-building experience for brands of all sizes, an MBA, and B.S. in Marketing, Rebecca has worked for over 300 clients in a multitude of industries.

Alex began his career in film and TV as a Producer and Associate Producer for Original Productions. Following that, he spent time working as the Lead A/V Editor and Assistant Producer for advertising heavyweight TBWAChiatDay where he oversaw content and creative portions of campaigns for the likes of Nissan, Gatorade, Pepsi, and more. In his rare, free time, Alex serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and hangs out with his wife, Mary Beth, and dog, Hank.

Brian studied music and economics at University of California, San Diego. After graduating, he started his digital marketing career at Sony Records in NYC. After a few years, Brian headed west to Los Angeles to work for a large music management company. Brian is always someone who is looking to help in any capacity he can. Since moving to San Diego 4 years ago, he has become a certified EMT and is a volunteer fireman in Elfin Forrest and met his wife Jessica.
